Though many aircraft of the "The Fighter Collection" (TFC) were grounded this year, the Flying Legends Airshow 2009 offered many stunning views and was rated by many amongst the best events ever that Duxford airfield saw in its long history. Not for nothing this might be owed to the very first sighting of a formation flight of a Messerschmitt 109 and a Focke-Wulff 190 after many, many years...

Wings over Houston Airshow

(Reading time: 4 - 8 minutes)

Wings over Houston 2017 was an awesome airshow! Plenty of warbirds, a Messerschmitt Me 262, jets from the Vietnam era, amongst them the venerable F-4D Phantom II, made up for a great program. This great mix on show at Ellington Airport in the South of Houston was enriched by aerobatic acts and the USAF Thunderbirds. This second edition of “Fly Navy” in 2017 has put a second chapter to a young, but already successful story.

So we met on a nice and warm summer afternoon at the airfield and briefed the flight.
