Beirut, once the "Paris of the East", is a city marked by long years of war and division. Today, 12 years after the end of the civil war, many of these scars are still visible and can be clearly felt. But nevertheless a lot of construction sites show the emerging character of this city and it can only be hoped that the country will conserve a time of peace that will be long enough to bring forward social cohesion and to ensure stability. But this, however, only the future will tell us… Here are some impressions of my tours around the city:
