Furthermore two Tornados demonstrated buddy-buddy refuelling and an Eurofighter (98+03)of EADS showed a solo display. Eurofighter TyphoonTornados Besides that no foreign aircraft were participating in the flying, nor in the static display besides the stressed relation of the WTD61 with other flight test centres. Surely that was a downpoint together with the cancellation of the flying some of the historic aircraft, but getting inside the WTD 61 and to have a look at all of their projects – though the most recent ones were surely hidden from the crowd – was once again a real highlight for everyone. The personal at the WTD61 at Manching can therefore be gratulated once again in putting all their efforts in this "Open Doors Day", that attracted more than 90.000 visitors, splendid sunshine in the afternoon and also made the photographers happy as the special painted jets were placed in a nice photo position in the afternoon. Thanks a lot and see you again latest in 2012!
