A lot of the aircraft from the early years of the WTD could also be found in the static display, for example one of the prototypes of the Tornado, an F-4F Phantom still wearing the old camouflage or the last operational F-104 Starfighter in Germany that had its last flight on 22.05.1991. The 104 was in line with a Alpha Jet and a Fiat G-91 "Gina", both serving the WTD for many years of testing, a Su-22 showing the important phase of the WTD after Germany’s reunification to evaluate Soviet aircraft and, of course, an F-4F, the WTD's current workhorse.

Airbus A310 MedEvacIn the nearby hangar all the test aircraft were put on display with many many exhibits around them. The also included once highly secret weapons or bombs like the HOPE or HOSBO glide bombs, sensor pods and all aircraft in different configurations. Another big part of the display was occupied by helicopters and a newly modified and updated E-3 AWACS. Due to the fact of being brand new visits to this aircraft were unfortunately not possible, and furthermore a P-3 Orion and a Breguet Atlantic were missing. But a lot of different helicopters (Tiger, CH-53, UH-1D, Bo 105) gave a nice line-up as well.
