Page 7 of 7 Sunday, 15thGetting up on Sunday was not so nice, which was not due to the fish&chips from the evening before, but due to the drizzling rain and the grey clouds. But as we have already planned to leave the show sometime around afternoon we were hoping for at least some sunny spells or at least no rain. This day we also looked for another place to take our photos and found a nice spot that gave some different perspectives, even with the grey sky as a background. The flying was nearly the same as the day before, but this time I managed to get the flares of the Belgian F-16 and also a civil B747 came for a fly-by and landed after three passes. Opperated by Oasis Hongkong Airlines the aircraft operates as a low cost carrier from the UK to Hong Kong and the company uses this kind of appearances at air shows to promote their services. Looking back to these day in England I have been happy that I have been there once again since the last time in 2004, because a lot of new aircraft could be seen and even despite the disadvantageous weather RIAT 2007 was a real highlight for me. Not to imagine how this would have been with four consecutive days of sun! The bias that I had before this visit has fortunately not been confirmed and I am sure I will be back there, though not on a regular basis. But maybe next year. For the Vulcan. Finally…
